Mastered: Professional Sailing
Alsion began her sailing career by crewing for adults in a GP14 dinghy at Trimpley Sailing Club, located at a small reservoir near Bewdley in Worcestershire. Seeking more independence she soon moved into an Optimist dinghy, competing nationally and winning a place on the National Optimist Squad. At 14 years old she moved to the Topper Class, again being selected for the National Squad and was successful at many national regattas.
Alison competed in the 2016 Rio Olympic Sailing (coming eighth place) and is one of the world’s leading radical sailors coming first in the ISAF World Cup.
Alison is a keen supporter of Parkinson’s Disease UK and raises funds for the charity by teaching her sport.
