Cornelia is a decorated artist who studied at Wolverhampton Polytechnic during the mid-‘70s. To celebrate the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta, she created a hand embroidered representation of the Wikipedia article Magna Carta as it was on 15 June 2014, and in 2016 she became the first female artist to be commissioned to create a new work for the Roof Garden of the Met in New York, creating a scaled down replica of the house from the 1960 Hitchcock film ‘Psycho’.

Cornelia was named the official artist for the 2017 general election, and was the first woman to take on the role. She told The Guardian: 'We live in scary but exhilarating times. The whole world order seems to be changing.'
