A household name from the age of 13, when she won her first medal, Ellie Simmonds OBE has been breaking records year-on-year. Learning to swim from the age of five the Paralympic Champion has numerous World records to her name.

And it’s not just sporting records that Ellie has broken; she was the youngest winner of the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2008; and then the youngest recipient of an MBE at the age of 14.

Dominating her sport Ellie has won 13 World titles, 10 European titles and has managed to break various World records along the way. In addition to these achievements, Ellie competed at the London 2012 Paralympics, winning four medals, including two Golds, and broke a further two World records.

Ellie’s talent in the water and determination to succeed has captured both the hearts and minds of the British public, and all while still studying at school.
There seems to be no stopping the talented swimmer and we hope she’ll continue to break records throughout her career!
